1. HOT TUB INSTRUCTIONS VIDEO

** WATCH THIS VIDEO BEFORE USING HOT TUB **

1) Rinse & Clean the filter cartridge twice per day (even if the hot tub is not used)

Do this in the morning and evening (after the spa has been used) as this is when the filter cartridge will be at its dirtiest. If the water is cloudy and not crystal clear the filter cartridge is not clean enough or chlorine levels are too low.

How to clean the filter cartridge:

STEP 1 of 5: Turn OFF the Heater and Filter on the Pump

STEP 2 of 5: Unscrew the cap at the front of the filter housing, remove the housing cover and the filter cartridge inside.

STEP 3 of 5: Rinse the filter cartridge under tap water and clean between the pleats.

STEP 4 of 5: Return the cleaned filter cartridge to the filter housing cover and screw it back onto the lower debris screen inside the hot tub.

STEP 5 of 5: Turn ON the Heater and Filter on the Pump.

2) Check & maintain chlorine levels daily

The Chlorine levels must be between 3-5 ppm (parts per million) which is a purple color on test strip. Follow the steps below to check the chlorine levels:

* If the water is cloudy then it’s likely the chlorine levels are too low or the filter cartridge is not clean.

How to check the chlorine levels

STEP 1 of 5: Use dry hands and open flip-top cap and take out 1 test strip.

STEP 2 of 5: Dip test strip into the water so it’s submerged for 15 seconds then remove from water.

STEP 3 of 5: Wait 15 Seconds and compare chlorine level on test strip to the chart on bottle

*Note: chlorine is the second row from the top on the test strip and bottle.

STEP 4 of 5: If chlorine levels are below 3ppm then add 2 tablespoons (half a scoop) of chlorine granules to the water and wait 1 hour before using hot tub.

STEP 5 of 5: If chlorine levels are above 5ppm then do not add more chlorine to the water and remove the chlorine floater form the spa.

3) Check heating and filtration is alway on

Both heating and filtration should remain on throughout the hire period to ensure the water temperature is maintained and water is filtered.

Note: Turn both heating and filter OFF only when cleaning the filter cartridge to prevent dirt from going into the pump and causing damage. Remember to turn the heating and filtration back on again once the filter cartridge has been cleaned.

Check this daily, especially in the evening before going to bed to ensure no-one has turned this off to avoid losing overnight heating and filtration time.

2. HOT TUB OPERATIONS & CONTROLS

Please note:

* The color and model of the hot tub pumps may vary, however, the buttons remain the same.

* Children are not allowed to operate the pump and must always be supervised by a responsible adult.

Lock/Unlock - The pump has a 5-minute auto-lock. The LED light will dim out when the pump is locked (no function is activated). To lock or unlock the pump, place a finger over the lock/unlock button for 3 seconds.

Timer– DO NOT USE this function. It sets the timer for the heating function. The heating and filtration function should remain ON during the hire period.

Bubbles (Massage Systems) - Use this button to activate the massage system. Press the button to start the bubbles and press again to end the bubbles. The bubbles have a 30-minute auto-shutoff feature.

Celsius / Fahrenheit Toggle – The temperature display can be switched between Fahrenheit or Celsius

Heater – Use this button to activate the heating system. When the light is RED, the heating system is activated. When the light is GREEN, the water is at the set temperature and the heating system is at rest.

NOTE: If the heating system is activated the filtration system will automatically start.

NOTE: After turning off the heating system the filtration system will continue to operate.

Filter – Turns the filter pump on and off. The light displays red when activated.

Temperature Increase & Decrease – press up or down arrows to set the desired temperature, maximum temperature is 40°C (104°F).

NOTE: In winter and when it’s cold we recommend leaving the temperature on 40 degrees Celsius and use less of the bubbles to retain the heat and water temperature for longer periods. It can take 2-3 hour to heat the water by 1 degree when outside temperature is below 10 degree Celsius.

3. HOT TUB SAFETY RULES

Please watch the Hot Tub Safety video above and ensure all hot tub users follow the safety rules:

4. TROUBLESHOOTING

This section includes the following:

  • EO2 error code
  • Power issue

EO2 error code

Is there an E02 error code displaying on the pump? This means the pump is experiencing a water flow issue which is usually related to a dirty filter.

To resolve the issue, follow the steps below:

1) Switch off the pump by finding the RCD (see video below) which is connected to the end of the hot tub power cable and press the RED Test button. This will stop the EO2 beeping sound and switch off the pump.

2) Press the Orange Reset button to return power to the pump. Hold and press the power button on the pump to swich it on.

3) Remove the filter from the filter housing and give it a good clean (see instructions video).

4) Insert the cleaned filter back into the filter housing and attach the filter housing to the hot tub.

5) Press the Heater button on the pump. The heater lights and filter lights should both be on.

REMEMBER: The filter cartrige must be cleaned every morning and every night even if the hot tub is not used to avoid further issues.

Power Issue

The hot tub is fitted with a RCD (Residual Current Detect), its basic function is to interrupt current flow (break the circuit) after a fault is detected.

If the power to the hot tub is interrupted (e.g. power cut, power surge or the power has been disconnected), then the RCD will need to be reset. To do this, follow the power cable from the hot tub to find the RCD and follow the steps in the video below:

Support

Please follow the hot tub instructions to minimise issues. For support on issues please see our Troubleshooting section.

For all other issues, please call our support number on 0781 458 7335, we offer telephone support from 8am - 10pm, 7 days a week.

DO NOT email or text issues to us as this may delay the time it takes to resolve issues. 4FUN Group will not be responsible for time lost using the hot tub if the instructions have not been followed.

5. HOT TUB COLLECTION / END OF HIRE

This section explains what you must do before we collect the hot tub.

NOTE: If no-one will be present when we collect the hot tub then please ensure all hired items are left outside including hose pipe, tap adapter, chemical box etc.

When we collect we will need access to the hot tub, clean water and electricity. We will bring a submersible water pump with 15 meter hose and empty the water into a nearby drain (or garden if there’s no drain within reach). It takes about 20 minutes to empty the hot tub.

Please ensure the following when we collect:

  1. DO NOT empty the hot tub - we'll use a water pump to empty the water.
  2. DO NOT switch the pump off – Leave the filter light ON so water is continuously circulated and filtered.
  3. The chlorine levels are above 3 ppm; ensure the chlorine level is above 3 ppm (purple color on the test strip) and add another 2 tablespoons of chlorine granules to the water once you’ve finished using it to prevent bacteria build up.
  4. Keep the lid on and securely fastened.

Thank you and we hope everyone enjoyed the 4FUN hot tub experience!
