Terms and Conditions of Hire

It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury to users or damage to the equipment. We reserve the right to refuse hire at any point should we feel the following regulations have not been adhered to. If the hirer is in any doubt to the meaning of the below then consult us immediately. The hirer will, during the period of hire, be responsible for the supervision of the equipment, its care, safety from damage however slight of any sort and the behaviour of any person at any age using the equipment.

Deposit / Booking Fee

  • Bookings are made online and you are required to pay a non-refundable £30 booking fee to secure your booking.
  • Bookings over £300 may require a higher non-refundable booking fee.
  • Once booked and booking fee paid, the equipment is held for you so it's not available to others to book on the day.
  • We don’t refund booking fees as this covers our admin tasks and costs.

Delivery, Setup and Collection

  • Delivery and collection is between 8am - 5pm, please ensure you are available during these times.
  • The cost of delivering to a particular postcode area will be revealed when you choose your delivery area.
  • The delivery times will be confirmed via email about 24 hours before the booking date. We're unable to confirm your delivery slot sooner. For venue or hall bookings the access and party times must be confirmed and agreed with us via email before booking.
  • Please ensure that there is adequate space for our products, that the location our products will be sited is accessible and surface is suitable, that the access path is at least 70cm wide and clear so we can safely carry our equipment. For indoor venue bookings check the height as this is the biggest issue with indoor bookings. We will be unable to provide a refund if we cannot deliver your product due to a lack of space or accessibility or due to an inappropriate location or surface.
  • For collections after 5pm (and up to 7pm) a late collection charge will apply. Overnight hire with pickup next morning between 8am - 1pm may be possible subject to availability and provided it's in a secure private garden.
  • If we are unable to provide your delivery due to adverse weather, vehicle failure, illness or any other factor, we will inform you of this at the earliest possible opportunity.
  • Overnight hires are subject to availability and weather forecast. In the event of heavy rain forecasted overnight, inflatables cannot be hired overnight and left deflated in the rain.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that all the equipment is returned and handed to us on the day of collection. Any equipment which is not available to us on collection must be returned at the hirers cost and may be charged for until returned.
  • If we are not able to collect the hired equipment due to your event going on longer than expected, or we aren't able to gain access to collect the hired equipment, a fee of £50 will be levied.
  • If any equipment is returned damaged or seriously soiled we may either charge for repair and restoration or deem the equipment a total loss and claim the current replacement value for it. You will not undertake any repairs or have them done.

Booking Cancellations

  • For cancellations made 28 days or more before the hiring date, 4FUN Group will retain the non-refunable booking fee for loss of booking and you are not required to pay the remaining balance. If more than 28 days notice given we are happy to transfer your booking fee to an alternative date within a 3 month period, subject to our availability & only on one occasion.
  • For cancellations made less than 28 days before the hiring date including short notice cancellations on the day, 4FUN Group will retain the non-refunable booking fee for loss of booking and you are required to pay 50% of the remaining balance.
  • Cancellations must be made in writing via email to info@4fungroup.co.uk and acknowledged by a written reply from a member of our team.
  • If we need to abort setup due to inadequate space for our products, inappropriate surface type, area of setup being inaccessible, area of setup not cleared of debris and mess then you are required to pay the full amount of the booking.
  • We reserve the right to cancel any booking, where there is a potential health & safety risk to the hirer, their guests or the public. We will also not be able to set up in heavy snow.
  • No refund will be offered for any monies already paid.

Change of Booking Date

  • When booking we hold the equiment for you so it's not available for others to book on the same day or hire period.
  • Change of date is a cancellatioon of the booking for the date / hire period and requires a new booking with new booking fee to secure the booking.
  • Change of date made 28 days or more before the hiring date, 4FUN Group will retain the non-refunable booking fee for loss of booking and you are not required to pay the remaining balance. Weather Related Cancellations

  • No one can control the weather so when booking outdoors your take the risk with the weather.
  • If you wish for your booking to be guaranteed to go ahead, we would always recommend booking an indoor venue.
  • We hope for clear skies on the day. However, we would only cancel outdoor bookings if there is a risk to health and safety, such as strong winds or persistent rain.
  • We monitor the weather daily using the Met Office and if there's any chance we may need to cancel outdoor bookings due to safety concerns, we will provide as much notice as possible.
  • The weather forecast can change from day to day so we do not make a decision to cancel until 6am on the day of hire.
  • If you contact us prior to your hire date to say you want to cancel as the weather is looking bad you will still be required to pay for the hired equipment on your booking as this has been held for you.
  • If we contact you to cancel your booking due to risk to health and safety i.e. continous rain or high wind gusts, then we can transfer of your booking to another date within 3 months and subject to our availability. We do not refund any payment or deposits / booking fee paid.

Inflatables in Wet Weather Conditions

  • Inflatables can get damaged if stored away wet.
  • If the weather is wet & you still insist on having an inflatable delivered, this will only be done if it is safe to do so and the ground isn’t too soggy and it’s not pouring with rain. Please note we are unable to setup or collect in heavy rainy conditions.
  • No refund will be offered if the inflatable isn’t used because the weather is bad, inevitably this will make the inflatable dirty which will incur a cleaning charge of £50 for each inflatable that is hired.
  • If the inflatable’s are switched off in the rain, they fill with water which takes us days to dry them out and you will be charged a drying out fee of £75 per inflatable.
  • All inflatables must be left switched on and inflated if it rains. For overight hires when the inflaftables are switched of we will provide rain covers to protect the inflatables.

Change of Products & Booking Value

  • Change of Products is subject to availability.
  • Change of Booking value is only allowed for the same booking value or higher booking value.

Bouncy Castles and Inflatable Slides

  • Children inflatables has a age limit of 12. Please ensure no one over this age uses the equipment.
  • No food or drinks or gum to be allowed on or near the inflatable, which will avoid choking and damage. (Please note if the Inflatable is collected in a dirty condition or damaged then the person hiring it will incur a cleaning and, or repairing charge).
  • All footwear, glasses, jewellery, badges MUST be removed before using the inflatable.
  • No face paints, party poppers, streamers, silly string or ink based products to be used either on or near the inflatable.
  • No smoking or cooking equipment near the Bouncy Castle.
  • IMPORTANT climbing, hanging or sitting on walls is DANGEROUS and under no circumstances should this be allowed.
  • A responsible adult must supervise the inflatable at all times. Alcohol or any other substance is forbidden whilst using or supervising the inflatable.
  • Make sure that the inflatable is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of children using it. Try to avoid large and small children from using it at the same time.
  • Prevent Horseplay, please ensure children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others. Somersaults are strictly forbidden, as these are very dangerous on this type of equipment.
  • If the inflatable is not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower off at the mains.
  • Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step as a child could easily bounce off the inflatable and get hurt. The step is there to assist users in getting on or off!
  • Do not allow anyone to be on the inflatable during inflation or deflation as this is DANGEROUS.
  • No pets, toys or sharp instruments to be allowed on or near the inflatable.
  • Please ensure that children are not attempting somersaults and are clothed appropriately and that nothing can fall out of their pockets.
  • The inflatable should not be used if it becomes wet on the jumping area. If no shower cover is fitted and in the event of rain, the unit should not be used.
  • In the event of heavy rain, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable is switched off. Any wetness, including bubbling (which is normal) can be dried with a towel.
  • In the event that the blower stops working, please ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately. Check the fuses and make sure the blower tube or deflation tube has not come undone or something has not blown onto and is obstructing the blower. In the event that it overheats, or loses power, switch the blower off at the mains, then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later, and it should restart. If it does not, inform us

Hot Tubs

  • Please do not use the hot tub during pregnancy.
  • Anyone having an upset tummy in the last 7 days should not use the hot tub as this can spread infection.
  • If you suffer from heart disease, diabetes, low or high blood pressure, or any medical condition, please speak to you Doctor before use.
  • People with skin, ear, genital or other body infections, open sores, or wounds should not use the hot tub because of the possibility of spreading infection.
  • Hot tubs are not suitable for children under the age of five and older children must not be allowed to use the Hot Tub alone. Only children tall enough to stand with their feet on the floor and their head out of the water should be allowed to use the hot tub.
  • Under 16’s should ALWAYS be supervised. There is a major risk of drowning.
  • Parents should warn children not to allow water in their mouths as this may cause illness.
  • The heat of the water speeds up the effects of alcohol and can cause sleepiness, dizziness and unconsciousness.
  • Never use the hot tub while using or after using narcotics/other drugs/excessive alcohol that may cause sleepiness, drowsiness or raise/lower blood pressure.
  • Restrict your time in the Hot Tub to a maximum of 20mins.
  • Shower with soap and water before and after using the hot tub. Showering before use washes away many of the common skin bacteria and removes lotions, deodorants, creams etc which reduce the effectiveness of the spa sanitizer which disinfects the water.
  • Do not immerse your head in the hot tub water.
  • When not in use, make sure the cover is on in order to eliminate the risks for children and pets.
  • At ALL times make sure pets are a safe distance away from the hot tub.
  • Never use the hot tub alone.
  • Don’t use the hot tub immediately after a meal.
  • Avoid entering the hot tub water immediately after exercising as the water temperature can affect the heart rate.
  • Don’t use glass near or in the hot tub.
  • Don’t use the Hot Tub if you have recently had a spray tan as not only will you lose your tan but you will also block the filter.
  • Do not use any electrical appliances near/in the hot tub. This is a MAJOR risk.
  • If any allergic reaction occurs leave the hot tub and rinse off in the shower. If the reaction persists contact your Doctor.
  • Ensure no contaminants ie - bubble bath, alcohol, oils etc are placed in the water as this may upset the chemical balance of the water and can result in allergic reactions.
  • Please DO NOT smoke in OR near the hot tub – this could cause damage.
  • No more than 7 people in the hot tub at any one time.
  • TREATEMENT & CHEMICALS:
    1. We thoroughly clean and sanitize all of our hot tubs between hires.
    2. You are required to check chlorine levels daily before and after each use. Use the test strips provided and add chlorine accordingly. Allow at least 1 hour after dosage before using the hot tub.
    3. Do not allow chlorine to come into contact with your skin, do not ingest and do not inhale.
    4. Please store chlorine in a cool dark place, away from children.
    5. If you have an allergy to chlorine please seek medical advice before using the hot tub.

Hot Tub Faults and Call Out Charges

  • You will be shown how to use the hot tub and we will provide instructions to maintain the water quality.
  • If the instructions are not followed and the water becomes dirty causing heating or pump failure then we will not be held responsible for the hot tub cutting out and not working correctly. If instructions have been followed and there are still issues preventing you from using the hot tub then please call us immediately on 0781 458 7335 or 0781 458 7335 for telephone support. We will not be held responsible for time lost using the hot tub if we are not called immediately.
  • If we are unable to resolve the issue over the phone, then a call out may be required. If the call out is not related to misuse of the equipment or instructions not being followed but related to a fault with the equipment not working, then there will be no call out charge. For all other call outs the cost is £40 + delivery charge and is subject to our availability.

Issues During Hire Period

If you encounter any issues with the equipment or service during the hire period, you must contact us immediately on 01494 211 386.

  • If we are unable to answer your call straight away, please leave a voice message with your name, contact number, and details of the issue.

  • We will return your call as soon as possible and aim to resolve the issue promptly.

Please note:
If you do not contact us at the time of the issue and do not leave a message, we are unable to help or provide any resolution later.
There is no point raising the issue after the hire period if you did not attempt to contact us during the event, as we require real-time communication to assess and assist with any problems.

Errors and Omissions

It is the responsibility of the hire to ensure correct and accurate information is provided when booking. We reserve the right to cancel bookings where information is incorrect or missing. Examples of these are below:

  • Incorrect package booked (e.g. Bank holiday package booked for a non Bank holiday weekend)
  • Incorrect date selected (e.g. Friday package booked for a Wednesday delivery)
  • Missing or incorrect contact details (e.g. incorrect delivery address or contact number)
  • Not being contactable via the contact details provided or not replying to us in time may result in bookings being cancelled.
